He gained an early international perspective and understanding of diner tastes from positions ranging from cruise ship chef to leading a development team of a successful chain of white tablecloth contemporary Indian cuisine restaurants on behalf of a celebrity Indian chef. Most recently, as opening chef for two prominent restaurants.

Sourav Biswas, our visionary Founding Chef-Partner, brings the essence of Kolkata to life at Delhi Belly. Born and raised in this bustling city, Sourav honed his skills and passion for culinary arts at the prestigious GSM Global School of Management/Hotel Management College in Kalyani, West Bengal.

After earning his degree, Sourav embarked on a journey to Delhi, where he immersed himself in intensive hospitality training. In this vibrant city, renowned for its rich tapestry of flavors and culinary traditions, Sourav expanded his repertoire, drawing inspiration from the historic Mughal Empire's opulent cuisine. This influence is beautifully showcased on our menu, with timeless dishes like biryani taking center stage, offering our guests a taste of India's rich gastronomic heritage.
